Break Time!

Anything interesting that comes to my mind, anything interesting I go through, and anything interesting I feel!

Reema – The first Blogess!!

The practice of assigning masculine gender to neutral terms came from the fact that language reflects the prejudices of the society in which it evolved. Throughout history many words changed. Let’s take the word MAN for example! When the word MAN was first used it generically meant “ Human Kind” later it evolved to mean MALE ADULT!  Later on the word WOMAN had to be put into use to differentiate between males and females. Pronouns later on came and he and she were used. WE NEED TO CHANGE THE WORD BLOGGER!!

(gender-generic, gender-inclusive, non-sexist, or sex-neutral language) are all terms that refer to a language that is neutral to gender. These refer to abstracts whose gender is 1: not indentified 2- wouldn’t really matter anyways! WE NEED IDENTITY GIRLS!!

Okay girls it is about time that we have our own term!!! Why??

1-     I am claiming women rights and later on might conquer the world! J

2-     Let’s try look at most blogs and see if gender actually mattered! Well it does. Whether it is the design, layout or style of the blog, whether it was the subjects tackled by men or women.. COME ON we all know that they are different. Women get to address more sensitive issues around here while men are more practical even when it comes to their posts. So why not give all the women out there identity?

I thought about this tonight and was trying to come up with a word for all FEMALE bloggers. Mmmmmmmmm Let’s see…

Actor -----   Actress

Waiter ---- Waitress

Lion --- Lionesse

Prince -- Princess

Steward--- Stewardess

Sculptor – Sculptress

I did a little research about where these suffixes come from, and it seems that when the male word ends with er/or then the female version takes ess.

I’m not likely to be the first one to think about this, but am for surethe first to name myself  blogess J

Yalla sabaya feee3o!!!
